Sulfuric Acid Bulk Storage Radar Level Measurement

When a Midwest chemical distributor needed reliable level measurement of their sulfuric acid storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. In higher concentrations, sulfuric is exceptionally corrosive and vaporous. Plant operators were dissatisfied with previous ultrasonic level sensors, because vapor attenuated their acoustic signals, causing the sensors to function intermittently, especially during the agitated tank filling process. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR10 radar sensor that’sunaffected by vapor with PTFE corrosion resistance. The radar sensors provide continuous level data to the PLC, which monitors inventories and alarms for replenishment. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
