Hydrochloric Acid Bulk Tank Radar Level Transmitter

When the city of Ontario, California needed reliable level measurement of their hydrochloric acid bulk storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. The city uses HCI to neutralize waste streams at their water treatment plant. Hydrochloric is extremely vaporous and corrosive. The operators were dissatisfied with inconsistent readings from prior ultrasonic level sensors, caused by vapor and acoustic signal attenuation. Therefore, Flowline suggested our non-contact LR20 radar sensor with an impervious PTFE antenna shield. Now two years later, the sensors continue to perform flawlessly. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors the tanks and alarms for chemical replenishment. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
