When a Puerto Rican municipality needed reliable level measurement of their drinking water holding tank, they turned to Flowline. The below grade basin is a large reservoir that holds drinking water during its final chlorination stage of treatment. From there, a triplex pump system transfers the water from the basin to the distribution system. There the I&C technician needed a reliable non-contact level sensor that’s unaffected by condensation, turbulence or a fast rate of level change during fill or empty. He also required an IP68 rating as the area is frequently besieged with storms and periodic flooding. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensor that delivers robust measurement in a sealed design that’s perfect for water, wastewater and chemical applications. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC that monitors the basin and controls the pumps. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
