Petrochemical Reactor Waste Tank Radar Level Measurement

When a Texas petrochemical company needed reliable level measurement of their reactor waste tank, they turned to Flowline. The company produces rubber, plastic and resin polymers that are applied in industrial and consumer products. Their hazardous reactor tanks generate corrosive wastewater, laced with spent acid, particulates, steam and condensation. At the end of each batch, the residual waste is transferred to a bulk storage tank awaiting neutralization. There the I&C technician was dissatisfied with a prior radar level sensor, that performed intermittently due to foaming that developed during and shortly after tank fill. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR11 radar sensor that’s unaffected by foam. The radar sensor provides continuous level data to the SCADA, which monitors the level and controls the process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
