When a US piping systems manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their wastewater pH neutralization tanks, they turned to Flowline. The firm produces HDPE pipe for stormwater applications. The pipes are water cooled as they pass through the extruder, and the residual hot wastewater is pumped to mix tanks for neutralization with phosphoric acid. There plant engineers had ongoing problems with a different ultrasonic level sensor brand, due to condensation forming on the transducer, that attenuated its acoustic signals. For this reason, Flowline suggested our patented UG01 ultrasonic sensor that’s unaffected by condensation. The ultrasonic sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the tanks and controls the treatment process. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
