When a Canadian meat processor needed reliable level measurement of their water disinfectant make up process, they turned to Flowline. With food safety a priority, the plant injects hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid into their process water stream to combat bacteria, virus, fungi and spore outbreaks. The chemicals mix in cascading towers and the sump levels are monitored to determine when more water and chemical are needed. At which time, the towers are refilled with water and proportionately metered chemical. The I&E technician requested a non-contact, corrosion resistant level sensor with an onboard display, that’s unaffected by foam, turbulence or precipitation. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our LR83 radar sensor that provides reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the sumps and controls the make-up process. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
