When a Mid-Atlantic galvanizer needed reliable level measurement of their hydrogen peroxide bulk tank, they turned to Flowline. The firm galvanizes steel parts by dipping them in a hot flux solution, and H2O2 is a critical ingredient that prevents iron contamination, and in turn, prolongs flux life. But concentrated hydrogen peroxide is highly corrosive and vaporous. The maintenance manager said, “I just had another pressure level sensor fail, and we need something reliable. Additionally, I don’t have any available fittings up top, and I’d rather not cut that nasty tank open. What do you recommend?” For these reasons, Flowline suggested our 80-GHz radar sensor that mounts non-invasively on tank tops in our adhesive fitting, and reliably measures through the plastic or fiberglass wall. The non-invasive radar sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the tank and alarms for chemical refill. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
