Reliable Non-Contact Radar and Ultrasonic Level Measurement

When an East Coast integrator needed reliable level measurement of their clients’ chemical totes, waste lift stations and chemical storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. Their auto manufacturer client had several applications with level problems, and they wanted to solve them with non-contact level measurement. He went on to explain that the totes had float level switches which corroded in months. The lift stations had capacitance level switches that became intermittent due to coating build up. Finally, they had several bulk tanks without any level sensors or available fittings slots, and they couldn’t justify shutting down to install them. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our ultrasonic sensor in the totes, and 80-GHz radar sensor in the lift stations and bulk tanks. The DL10 is ideal for small tanks and the LR80 is great for foaming wastewater or non-invasive level measurement of plastic tanks, easily mounted in our adhesive tank top fitting. The ultrasonic and radar sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC which controls the process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
