Non-Invasive Chemical Tank Radar Level Measurement

When a California chemical distributor needed reliable non-invasive level measurement of their bulk storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. The firm supplies sanitizing chemicals to food and beverage processing companies. Their acidic, chlorine or alkaline based cleaning solutions are highly corrosive, vaporous or foaming. The IC&E engineer explained that they required new level sensors and controllers, and wanted to move away from invasive sensors due to the high failures in their aggressive media. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensors installed in our adhesive tank top fitting that reliably measure through the wall, immune to corrosion, vapor or surface foam. These were coupled with our LI55 level controllers that provide volumetric indication, alarming and a PLC repeater output for each tank. The PLC monitors the tanks and controls the fill and empty processes. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
