Nitric Acid Bulk Storage Tank Radar Level Measurement

When a Midwest chemical distributor needed reliable level measurement of their client’s nitric acid storage tank, they turned to Flowline. Their client rebuilds UPS truck trailers and uses HNO3 to clean metal components. Nitric is an extremely corrosive and vaporous chemical that’s notorious for shortening the life of fluid handling equipment and instrumentation. The technician said, “I need reliable measurement for nitric, and neither ultrasonic or PTFE pressure level sensors are getting the job done. What do you have?” For these reasons, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensor that’s non-contact, constructed entirely of PVDF, and whose measurement is unaffected by nasty acidic vapor.
