When a Georgia water treatment plant needed reliable level measurement of their sulfuric acid storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. Sulfuric is the most widely applied acid for pH neutralization, and municipalities store it in bulk. The clear, highly corrosive acid is best measured with non-contact sensors. Plant operators had deployed a different brand of ultrasonic level sensors, but complained that they became intermittent during the hot humid months of summer, when condensation would form on the transducers and attenuate their acoustic signals.
