When an Oregon electronics manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their reverse osmosis water day tanks, they turned to Flowline. The firm uses ultrapure water to remove trace impurities such as particulates or compounds from their manufacturing process that may otherwise cause defects. The IC&E supervisor identified that past ultrasonic sensors would periodically spike due to acoustic amplification, because their supplier installed the sensors in the center of dome top tanks. He wanted a reliable, non-contact PVDF level sensor that could be installed in the same fittings. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensor whose non-contact measurement is unaffected by non-metallic tank shapes or structures. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the LI23 level indicators that display level in gallons and repeat their signals to the PLC which controls the fill valves on each tank. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
