When an Illinois water treatment plant needed reliable level measurement of their clear wells, they turned to Flowline. Filtered drinking water is temporarily stored in clear wells, where previously injected chlorine is given the required contact time to disinfect remaining pathogens, prior to being pumped into the distribution system. These are dank underground environments that are inherently condensing. Plant operators complained that prior ultrasonic level sensors became intermittent when condensation peaked, and they needed reliable level measurement. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR30 radar sensor that’s unaffected by condensation, fog or vapor. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the SCADA which monitors the vaults, while the display provides above grade level indication. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
