Dispensing Station Chemical Pale Radar Level Measurement

When a Texas auto service chain needed reliable level measurement of their degreaser dispensing station, they turned to Flowline. Whether wiping off engines or soaking parts, the team goes through a lot of degreaser. To get more, they just walk to the station, place the fill tube into their bottle, and hold the button to dispense. During which, degreaser is metered from a 3-gallon pale, through the injectors and into the blended fill stream. The problem was that unless they opened the cabinet, they didn’t know whether or when they needed to replace the pale, and this caused degreaser outages. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our 80-GHz radar sensor mounted non-invasively above the pale, connected to our level indicator and flash alarm. The LR80 radar sensor provides reliable level data to the LI55 level controller which displays in gallons and actuates the alarm when a replacement pale is needed.
