When a Southeast municipality needed reliable level measurement of their pump station backup diesel generator tanks, they turned to Flowline. Storm based power outages are inevitable, and low-lying communities are highly susceptible to flooding. To combat this, generators are deployed on critical pumping stations and many of these are remote or unmanned locations. To ensure station readiness, the generators are installed above the historical flood heights, auto-run twice per month, and remotely monitored for fuel and maintenance. An integrator was hired to replace failing float level switches with reliable level measurement, and they tested, selected and deployed EchoBeam. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the genset controller which monitors the fuel tank and alarms for diesel replenishment. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
