Foaming Concrete Wastewater Tank Radar Level Measurement

When an Ohio concrete manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their wastewater recovery tanks, they turned to Flowline. The company makes precast catch basins, curb inlets and water meter vaults for cities. Concrete is mixed, poured into forms, dried, released and stacked for shipment. At the end of each batch run, the equipment, forms and shop floor are washed, and the waste is transferred to a collection tank for treatment. There the I&C technician said that prior ultrasonic level sensors were unreliable due to agitation, foam and material build up from splashing. For this reason, Flowline suggested the use of our non-contact LR30 radar sensor that’s unaffected by these variables. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the indicator and PLC, which controls waste transfer and treatment. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
