Chemical Production Tank Radar Level Transmitter

When a Gulf Coast chemical distributor needed reliable level measurement of their production tanks, they turned to Flowline. The company dilutes, batches and mixes acid based products through eight production tanks into IBC’s or drums for customer delivery. There the I&E technician described various level sensor types and problems they had experienced, and their perceived failure modes rooted in corrosion, agitation, foam or vapor. Finally, he said, “I want one level sensor that measures reliably, displays in gallons and functions maintenance-free.” For these reasons, Flowline suggested our LR83 radar sensor that’s non-contact, unaffected by the process, made of PVDF, easily configured to measure in gallons, and requires no maintenance.
