When a Texas municipality needed reliable level measurement of their stormwater lift stations, they turned to Flowline. Stormwater flows from streets to pump stations that collect and further transfer the run off to treatment plants. While trash and debris are screened prior to the stations, sediment passes through and goes to the bottom of the sumps. There the operators had problems with pressure level sensors that would clog and required ongoing maintenance. The I&C technician wanted reliable, maintenance free level measurement. For this reason, Flowline suggested our non-contact LR30 radar sensor that reliably measures sewer and stormwater applications. The operators installed the sensor through the sump top on a metal plate for convenient access. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors the station and controls the pumps. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
