When a high school maintenance manager needed reliable level measurement of their bleach tank, they turned to Flowline. The school has an aquatic center for their swim, polo and dive teams, and water disinfection is critical to student health. To maintain it, they steadily inject sodium hypochlorite into the pools via six metering pumps. The pumps are fed by 5-gallon pails, and the pails are manually filled at an outdoor storage tank. There the manager wished to install a level sensor that would indicate bleach inventory in the maintenance office. He also expressed concern about corrosion and vapor which had caused other sensors to fail in similar applications. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensor that’s non-contact, constructed of PVDF, and whose measurement is unaffected by temperature or vapor. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the LI55 level controller which displays in gallons, and alarms for chemical replenishment. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
