Reliable Polymer Powder Silo Level Measurement

When an Indiana municipality needed reliable level measurement of their polymer silo, they turned to Flowline. Prior to water disinfection and filtration, the plant mixes and steadily adds polymer slurry to their sewage for improved flocculation and reduced clarification time. The operator said that the prior bob-type mechanical level sensor was susceptible to clogging, it required ongoing maintenance and they wanted a reliable level solution. For this reason, Flowline suggested our non-contact LR41 radar sensor that provides reliable and maintenance-free level measurement of polymer powder in silos. They also installed our DL24 ultrasonic sensor in their polymer batch tank to automate the make up process.
