Spent Acid Wastewater Tank Ultrasonic Level Transmitter

Spent Acid Wastewater Tank Liquid Level Sensor
Spent Acid Wastewater Tank Liquid Level Transmitter When a Midwest bumper manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their acidic wastewater storage tank, they turned to Flowline. The firm uses hydrochloric and sulfuric acids to etch metal bumpers prior to chrome plating. The hot waste streams are periodically transferred to an outdoor storage tank awaiting treatment. There the I&C technician had problems with a prior ultrasonic level sensor due to temperature fluctuations. He said that when hot wastewater enters the tank, it creates steam that would form droplets on the transducer. The droplets would cause the sensor to function erratically until they dissipated. For this reason, Flowline suggested our patented UG06 ultrasonic sensor that’s unaffected by condensation. The ultrasonic sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the tank and controls the treatment process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
