When a Texas municipality needed reliable level measurement of their water storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. The water plant manages several hilltop tanks that store and gravity feed drinking water to the community below. The tanks are wirelessly connected and controlled through a SCADA that’s maintained by a system integrator. The integrator said that the previous ultrasonic sensors became erratic during the humid summer heat, and they needed reliable non-contact level measurement. For this reason, Flowline suggested our 80-GHz radar level sensors that are unaffected by environmental factors such as temperature driven humidity, condensation and vapor that attenuate acoustic level sensors. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors the water tanks, and controls their pump refill. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
