Lift Station and Bleach Tank Radar Level Measurement

Lift Station and Bleach Tank Radar Level Sensor

Lift Station and Bleach Tank Radar Level Transmitter

When a Midwest municipality needed reliable level measurement of their sewer pump lift stations and sodium hypochlorite tank, they turned to Flowline. At the valley base of a large residential community lies two lift stations, a bulk tank and a maintenance shack. There the waste from 4500 homes collects, is injected with bleach and then pumped on to the treatment plant. The IC&E engineer said the site was problematic due to level alarms and he was tasked to fix the problems. He said the lift station floats tangled in peak turbulence and the bleach tank ultrasonic sensor became erratic as vapor increased during the hot summer months. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our 80-GHz radar sensor that’s easy to install, maintenance free and unaffected by turbulence or vapor. One sensor, two applications and a happy engineer. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors the lift stations and tanks, and controls the process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
