When an Ohio food waste processor needed reliable level measurement of their problematic pump station, they turned to Flowline. The firm collects, separates and dewaters food waste in preparation for digestion or composting. Their liquid waste stream is almost a slurry, filled with particulates and residual cooking oil. There the technician wanted to replace a failed pressure level sensor with our reliable LR83 radar sensor. The challenge was sensor mounting location and measurement space. The pump enclosure door opens over the station, so the sensor had to be mounted in the enclosure, placed between the pipes, and measure past a second sump top wall. To do so, we pointed him to the EchoCurve in our LevelTap app, where he mapped out the second sump top wall reflection in a few clicks. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC, which controls the waste pump transfer into treatment. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
