Adhesive Bulk Storage Tank Radar Level Measurement

When a Southeast adhesive manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their customer storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. They supply hot melts, glues and resins to furniture and building material manufacturers. As these are quite viscous, they’re transported, stored and dispensed at an elevated temperature. The operator stated that prior pressure level sensors failed due to clogging and ultrasonic level sensors failed due to vapor attenuation. He said I need reliable level measurement with an indicator that the driver can monitor during tank fill with a high and low-level alarm. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our non-contact LR15 radar sensor that’s unaffected by vapor, coupled with our LI55 level controller. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the controller, which displays in gallons and actuates the high and low alarms. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
