When a Missouri water treatment plant needed reliable level measurement of their fluoride storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. Fluoride is widely injected into drinking water to prevent tooth decay. In high concentrations, fluoride becomes both vaporous and corrosive. The operator was dissatisfied with previous ultrasonic level sensors in this application, because the vapor attenuated its acoustic signals, and they needed reliable level measurement. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR20 radar sensor that’s unaffected by vapor or corrosion with its PTFE antenna shield. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors the inventories and alarms for replenishment. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
