Waste Oil Reclamation Tank Level Measurement

When America’s largest retailer, needed reliable level measurement of their waste cooking oil tanks, they turned to Flowline. That was fifteen years ago and thousands of DL24 ultrasonic sensors were deployed. Today we suggest LR80 radar sensor for this application. Unlike ultrasonic, radar is not affected by the reflective surface conditions of the media. Depending on the food type served, some tanks contain significant foam, grease globules and food particles, that over time, become floating islands sitting atop the waste oil. When extreme, this can attenuate an ultrasonic sensor and require the tank to be manually cleaned. Radar works under all such conditions and is maintenance free. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the RTU which alerts the reclamation company for truck pick up. Flowline is reliable measurement.
