Coating Mixing Tank Radar Level Measurement

When a Northeast manufacturer of polyurethane coatings needed reliable level measurement of their production tanks, they turned to Flowline. They develop, blend, package and deliver bulk coatings to industrial and commercial customers. Their products are viscous, inherently sticky and they typically foam when pumped or mixed. The production manager said, “Level is critical to us, and we’ve had a heck of a time trying to measure these tanks. Everything fails for one reason or another. I need reliable measurement that’s easy to install and maintenance-free.” For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensor, installed non-invasively installed in our adhesive tank top fitting, connected to our LI55 level controller that displays in gallons and repeats the analog signal. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the level indicator and customer PLC that controls the process. Flowline is reliable measurement.
