Mine Discharge Open Channel Flow Ultrasonic Level Transmitter

When a Northeast mine company needed reliable flow measurement of their process water discharge channel, they turned to Flowline. The company mines iron and uses thousands of gallons of water per hour washing thick clay off extracted ore when it exits the mine. The resulting effluent flows down a channel and into two settling ponds prior to be being pumped back to the mine. The operator said they must report their cumulative water discharge to the state and USGS, and additionally they wanted to monitor and alarm on high or low flow rates in the channel. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our UG01 ultrasonic sensor that provides reliable flume flow data to the SCADA, which monitors the rate and alarms when out of range. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
