Adhesive IBC Tote Non-Invasive Radar Level Transmitter

When a Midwest envelope manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their adhesive feed tanks, they turned to Flowline. Each machine is fed glue through an IBC tote. The totes are either plumbed in and manually refilled by an operator or forklift rotated when empty. The operator wanted a non-contact level sensor that can reliably measure foaming adhesive and be quickly moved and replaced during forklift rotation. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensor mounted in our adhesive tank top fitting that can be stuck to or placed on the tank top for quick removal during IBC swaps. In either case, the sensor measures non-invasively through the plastic tank top wall. Reliable, simple, flexible and maintenance-free. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the totes and alarms for IBC refill or rotation. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
