Aquarium Biomedia Tank Ultrasonic Level Measurement

When a Southeast public aquarium needed reliable level measurement of their water treatment process tanks, they turned to Flowline. Exhibit water is continuously pumped through separation tanks that use floating bacteria and screens to filter and consume the biological solids. It’s a simple system. Water enters through the tank on the left, circulates with the biomedia, and then passes through a screen before exiting through the tank on the right. The life science director said that previous float level sensors required removal and cleaning, and that was a maintenance nuisance. For this reason, Flowline suggested our non-contact DL10 ultrasonic sensor installed in a stand-pipe to dampen the agitation. The maintenance free ultrasonic sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC which controls the process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
