Zoo Life Science Exhibit Pool Ultrasonic Level Transmitter

Zoo Life Science Exhibit Pool Liquid Level Sensor
Zoo Life Science Exhibit Pool Liquid Level Transmitter When a Southern California zoo needed reliable level measurement of their seal exhibit, they turned to Flowline. Weighing up to 300 pounds, harbor seals are large, inquisitive mammals that tend to play with and destroy accessible instrumentation. Their peak activity generates waves, splashing and water loss, that must be measured and replenished. The I&C engineer was also concerned with salt water corrosion resistance, and the use of an animal friendly level measurement solution. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our non-contact UG06 ultrasonic sensor mounted in a stand pipe to dampen turbulence and eliminate seal interaction. The ultrasonic sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the pool and controls the fill valve. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
