When a Pennsylvania manufacturer of food and beverage packaging needed reliable level measurement of their lacquer and varnish storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. Lacquer and varnish are widely used in the manufacturing of their boxes, labels and packaging. These coatings are vaporous and sticky, and they adhere to anything they contact. The I&C technician said he was dissatisfied with prior ultrasonic level sensors in this application, because vapor attenuated their acoustic signal, and they needed reliable level measurement. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR15 radar sensor that’s non-contact and unaffected by extreme vapor. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the tanks and alarms for replenishment. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
