Hot Process Water Tank Ultrasonic Level Measurement

Hot Process Water Tank Ultrasonic Liquid Level Sensor

Hot Process Water Tank Ultrasonic Liquid Level Transmitter

When a Northwest medical device manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their process water recovery tank, they turned to Flowline. The company produces balloon catheters for surgical applications. The parts are either molded or extruded, and their machine’s process temperature is carefully regulated with cooling water. Once used, the hot water is recovered in a storage tank, prior to treatment and reuse. Inside the tank, the temperature averages 70º C., and would be best described as a rain forest. The integrator said that prior ultrasonic level sensors were unstable in this environment due to condensation building up on the transducer. For this reason, Flowline suggested our patented UG03 ultrasonic sensor that’s unaffected by condensation. The ultrasonic sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the recovery tank and controls the treatment process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
