Chemical Storage Tank Ultrasonic Level Measurement

When a Wisconsin paper mill needed reliable level measurement of their chemical bulk storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. Their process outputs large waste streams that require continual neutralization with sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide. While both chemicals are corrosive, caustic soda presents the additional challenge of crystalizing, coating and caking on anything it contacts. The operator wanted a reliable level sensor that can be used with both chemicals, and level controllers with high and low alarms at each fill station. For this reason, Flowline suggested our non-contact ultrasonic sensor and controller package. The UG06 ultrasonic sensor provides reliable data to the LI55 level controller which displays the chemical height, and alarms for high and low level protection. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
