When the California Public Works Flood Division needed reliable level measurement of Prado Dam, they turned to Flowline. The reservoir is a flood control basin that protects downstream communities, recharges groundwater and provides recreational habitat for boating, fishing and hunting. Basin operators monitor the tributary levels and use that data to project reservoir trends. Given the enormous acreage, a 1/4-inch rise in level can translate into millions of in-flow gallons, and level accuracy is critical. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LG10 guided wave sensor that’s highly accurate and unaffected by plant debris or wildlife. The guided wave sensors provide reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors tributary levels and uploads the data to the cloud. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
