When a Midwest foundry needed reliable level measurement of their scrubber reservoirs, they turned to Flowline. The company manufactures metal castings and scrubbers are required to separate hazardous pollutants from their exhaust streams. The resulting acidic wastewater collects in sumps, where its measured, and periodically transferred to neutralization. There the I&C technician had problems with a different ultrasonic level sensor brand, due to condensation build-up on the transducer, and it attenuating the acoustic signal. For this reason, Flowline suggested our patented UG06 ultrasonic sensor that’s unaffected by condensation. The ultrasonic sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the sumps and controls the wastewater transfer. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
