Stormwater Open Channel Flow Radar Level Measurement

When a large California amusement park needed reliable flow measurement of their drainage canal, they turned to Flowline. The canal runs adjacent to the parking lot and receives the stormwater run-off from the facility. The park is exploring the cost and value of reclaiming this water starting with a long-term study to determine the probable amounts by season. To do so, they setup a temporary weir in the canal that’s tied to a data logger. The system integrator needed an accurate and reliable open channel flow sensor that can linearize the signal for this custom shaped structure. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensor that’s unaffected by environmental conditions, and easily linearized to standard or custom weir shapes using our LevelTap app. The radar sensor provides accurate, linearized flow data to the data logger.
