When a Northeast municipality needed reliable level measurement of their street flusher tanker trucks, they turned to Flowline. The tanker trucks are mobile street cleaners with large water tanks, high pressure pumps and various spray nozzles. With them, they apply brine solution, wash debris from catch basins, suppress construction site dust and pressure wash infrastructure. City operators wanted to add level measurement to each tank as an input to the MID-COM pump controller display. This would allow drivers to easily check tank levels during the day, proactively return to base for refills, and avoid mid-job outages. Specific to level, they were concerned with brine corrosion resistance, all weather compatibility and ease of installation. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our non-contact ultrasonic sensor with a rugged PVDF transducer and Type 6P sealed enclosure. The ultrasonic sensor provides reliable water level data to the controller, which monitors the tank and actuates the pump. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
