When Volkswagen in China needed reliable level measurement of the paint mix tanks, they turned to Flowline. Enamel paints are batched, blended and pumped to the paint line where robots apply color and clear to primared car bodies. The level is measured in each batch tank throughout their process. There the instrument engineers required intrinsically safe, non-contact level measurement with an onboard display for sensor verification. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our US06 ultrasonic sensor installed in a riser to avoid splashing. Here thirty-two ultrasonic sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC that controls the paint batch, mix and pump processes. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
