When Columbia St. Mary’s hospital in Wisconsin needed reliable level measurement of their grease waste sump, they turned to Flowline. The cafeteria serves up to 2k meals a day, and rows of deep fryers are in constant use. Every ten days, the waste oil and particulates are emptied into portable carts and transferred to a basement holding sump, awaiting removal via pumper truck. There the operators experienced overflows, when surface foam attenuated the acoustic signals of a prior ultrasonic level sensor, and they needed reliable level measurement. For this reason, Flowline suggested our non-contact LR20 radar sensor that’s unaffected by foam, grease or particulates. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the SCADA that monitors the grease sump and alarms for truck pick up. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
