According to the US Golf Association (USGA), there are 15,390 golf courses in the United States. Of those, 600 new golf courses are designated eco-friendly (4%) by the USGA. To be certified, the golf course must demonstrate their commitment to protect the environment, conserve natural resources and provide wildlife habitat. These green courses remediate and treat their water, removing trace chemicals such as pesticides, fertilizers and petroleum products, before reusing or returning the water back to the water table. This Midwest golf course collects water in sumps and reservoirs throughout the property. An EchoSonic ultrasonic level transmitter is installed at each pumping station where water is transferred into one of five packaged treatment systems. EchoSonic is reliable golf course water remediation level measurement.
