Wood Chip and Pellet Silo Radar Level Transmitter

When a Gulf Coast wood processor needed reliable level measurement of their pellet silos, they turned to Flowline. Harvested logs are stripped, chipped, milled, blended with vegetable oil, and pressed into pellets for coal fire power plants. The silos are tall, dusty applications with frequent fill and empty cycles. The technician was dissatisfied with guided wave level sensors here, because the probes would hang up in the hopper baffles and required maintenance. For this reason, Flowline suggested our non-contact LR41 radar sensor that works well with pellets and operates maintenance free. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the silos and controls the fill and empty process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
