Wastewater Separator Tank Radar Level Measurement

When a Midwest food processor needed reliable level measurement of their wastewater lift station and separator tank, they turned to Flowline. The company’s food and water waste stream steadily flows into a large pump station prior to treatment. From there, it’s pumped to an aerated separation tank where it sits for three hours. During which, heavy particulates fall to the bottom and the lighter grains, oils, grease and fats form a floating sludge at the top. The I&E technician said, “The separator and lift station are my biggest level headaches. I need one sensor that works with agitated, foaming, coating and viscous media.” For these reasons, Flowline suggested our 80-GHz radar sensor that reliably measures all kinds of waste, is simple to use and maintenance-free. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the sump and separator, and controls the treatment process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
