Municipal Sewer Pump Station Radar Level Sensor

Municipal Sewer Lift Station Liquid Level Sensor
Municipal Sewer Lift Station Liquid Level Sensor When a Wisconsin municipality needed reliable level measurement of their most challenging sewer lift stations, they turned to Flowline. Some of their pump stations have in-flow pipes located near the bottom of the sumps that pour into shallow vaults. There the operators maintain the level inside the vault space to eliminate the chance of sewage back flow. But this also concentrates the feces, grease and debris in a small area, which increases the coating on their float level switches. The I&C technician said, “We need reliable, maintenance-free level measurement in these stations.” For this reason, Flowline suggested our non-contact LR30 radar sensor that’s unaffected by feces, grease or debris, and is also intrinsically safe for environments with methane. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors the stations and controls the pumps. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
