When a Pennsylvania water treatment plant needed reliable level measurement of their discharge basin, they turned to Flowline. Treated water flows from the plant to two basins, where modulated gate valves control the release into the Schuylkill River. Additionally, submersible pumps provide backup should the gate valves fail, and the entire process is level driven. The I&C technician was dissatisfied with ultrasonic level sensors, saying they were susceptible to weather extremes, and he needed reliable level measurement. For this reason, Flowline suggested our LR30 radar sensor that’s unaffected by the environment, and robustly packaged for outdoor use. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors the basins and controls their discharge. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
