Grease Recycler In-Fill Tank Ultrasonic Level Measurement

Grease Recycler In-Fill Tank Ultrasonic Level Sensor

Grease Recycler In-Fill Tank Ultrasonic Level Transmitter

When a Midwest liquid waste management firm needed reliable level measurement of their grease intake tanks, they turned to Flowline. The company pumps, trucks and offloads used cooking oil from restaurants and school cafeterias to their grease recycling facility for processing. There oil is first pumped into the far side of an in-fill tank with two screen walls between it and the ex-fill pump on the opposite side. As the first tank segment fills, particulates are consecutively strained through each screened wall until the tank level equalizes. When so, the filtered grease is then transferred to the recycling process. The I&C engineer required a reliable, non-contact ultrasonic level sensor with a narrow beam and tight dead band, that’s optimized for use in minimal space. For this reason, Flowline suggested our EchoPod multi-function ultrasonic sensor that’s specifically designed for small tanks, and offers both measurement and relay options. The ultrasonic sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the tanks and controls the waste oil transfers. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
