When an Ohio metal fabrication company needed reliable level measurement of their wet scrubber, they turned to Flowline. The company cuts, bends, grinds, assembles and welds galvanized steel into HVAC ductwork and enclosures. These processes release hazardous gas, particulates and dust that must be removed from the workplace. To do so, the company installed a wet scrubber system that sucks, filters and separates pollutants from the air. There the I&C technician said, “A scrubber doesn’t scrub without water and the high-low float switch that indicates sump level clogs monthly. I need a reliable input to control the fill valve.” For these reasons, Flowline suggested our EchoBeam radar sensor that’s non-contact, has a zero deadband, and reliably measures through coating or vapor. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the sump and controls the fill valve. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
