When a Southeast municipality needed reliable level measurement of their hazardous sewer lift stations, they turned to Flowline. These are liquid trash cans that fill with water, feces, paper, oil, grease, particulates, methane and a variety of chemicals. They combine to reap havoc on contact level sensors or switches that fail due to coating and need cleaning with an expensive down-hole maintenance team. To address this, the operator wanted to upgrade their stations to reliable non-contact level measurement. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our intrinsically safe, non-contact LR31 radar sensor that’s unaffected by the media, and easily mounted at the top of the station. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the SCADA that controls the pumps. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
