When a Washington state municipality needed reliable level measurement of their aluminum sulfate storage tank, they turned to Flowline. Aluminum sulfate is a highly corrosive, hygroscopic compound that’s used as a filter agent. The soluble crystals bind with impurities to increase filter efficiency. There the I&C technician was dissatisfied with previous pressure level sensors, and they wanted reliable level measurement. In addition, the tank was in a hazardous area and they required intrinsic safety. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our intrinsically safe US03 ultrasonic sensor that’s ideal for corrosive chemical applications. The ultrasonic sensor provides reliable level data to the SCADA, which monitors and controls the chemical feed process. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
